Extensive remodeling of the interior and exterior will provide more space, security and optional therapy for residents to ultimately enhance their overall living situation. Additions to the TLC-E Secure Care Unit include a remodeled resident dining area and room for an enhanced therapeutic recreation program, which is key to the success in caring for those with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. There is also a new secure courtyard offering unrestricted use, where those with dementia may move about outdoors safely.
A therapy gym has been built for residents to use. The new gym will also lend to increased success with residents requiring physical, occupational or speech therapy. For occupational therapy residents preparing to return to their home environment, a new home-like kitchen and bathroom set-up provides active transitional practice.
In addition to these changes, space has been added to the main dining room and for nursing administration. The Grand Re-Opening will be a great opportunity to come experience the benefits of the remodeling, and to see how TLC-E has made progress towards the future of its residents.
At the Open House, live entertainment will be provided while guests have a chance to tour facilities and enjoy wine and hors d'oeuvres. Entertainers include "Memories of Elvis" featuring Richard Clark, the Sparta Tiger Choir and Harpist, Gretchen Williams. Guests will also be able to view entries to the first annual TRISUN Holiday Gingerbread House Contest. The dietary departments of TRISUN facilities across Texas have labored to construct entries worthy of a trophy and the right to host next year's contest. |
