Four New Facilities in the Killeen Area

TRISUN Continues to Expand Throughout the State

AUSTIN, TX – TRISUN Healthcare announced today that it will begin managing four skilled nursing and assisted living facilities in the Killeen area, effective March 1, 2011. These facilities include The Rosewood Retirement Community in Killeen, Wind Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Hill Country Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Copperas Cove, and Indian Oaks Living Center in Harker Heights. TRISUN Healthcare is a Texas-based company that manages skilled nursing, rehab and assisted living centers.

The four facilities were previously managed by House Cross Living Centers.

“We are thrilled to continue our expansion efforts throughout this area, where we already operate several facilities in nearby Temple,” James Hardee, chief operating officer of TRISUN Healthcare, said. “We pledge to provide ‘the TRISUN difference’ in all of these facilities, and ensure we meet our residents’ physical, emotional and spiritual needs.”

In Killeen, The Rosewood Retirement Community offers both skilled nursing and assisted living services. The facility includes 64 beds for skilled nursing and rehabilitation residents, and 60 assisted living apartments. In Harker Heights, Indian Oaks Living Center offers 199 skilled nursing beds, including a secure memory care unit for those with cognitive disabilities.

In Copperas Cove, Wind Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center offers 128 skilled nursing beds, while Hill Country Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, also in Copperas Cove, offers 96 skilled nursing beds.

Rehabilitation services at these four facilities are provided on-site by a team of professional therapists. These services include physical and occupational therapy, pain and cognitive management and speech pathology, among other types of rehabilitation. Physical therapy is provided in a state-of-the-art rehab gym at the facility.

Professional services include access to pharmacy services, hospice and respite care, and personal services include assistance with bathing and grooming. A full activity program is provided to maintain and enhance quality of life for residents. Living arrangements and amenities include private and semi-private rooms, individual emergency call systems, daily housekeeping and laundry, a private dining area for family gatherings and transportation for group outings. TRISUN’s Enhanced Dining program includes menu-style ordering, offering residents a variety of choices at mealtime.
